Last weekend, I went to cinema and watched ‘The Smurfs’. It has been my favorite cartoon since childhood. Blue tiny cartoon with different personality.
Each smurfs have their own role in the smurfs village. Eventhough there are many of them, they are in one unity.
There is Clumsy Smurf who is very clumsy and did make tons of mistakes. I bet the other smurfs not a fan of him. As you watched the movie, you will noticed that the other smurfs just simply want to protect him from doing some clumsy stuff.
When he did make mistake, the rest didn’t leave him alone yet they’re looking for him and stick together. They still love him with all his clumsiness.
Also you could see how strong the relationship within the family. Papa Smurf simply won’t give up on his son. The other smurfs also gathered together and help each other.
And you would noticed that Papa Smurf did make mistake too. He had doubt and didn’t look at the other potential within Clumsy Smurf yet He admitted that he was wrong and realized it.
We simply just like all the smurfs. We make mistakes like Clumsy or Papa did. However, look at the bright sight, Family sticks together no matter what happen in any circumstances, supporting each other and love to see the other members becoming a better person.
Treasures and honors your family. Never take them for granted.

What is ‘Family’ means to you? Is it only for blood relation? Or is it the things that keep you together?
In my opinion, Family means you feel the same thing what the other members felt. Simply being happy when they are happy. Sad when they are sad. Even, it hurt you too when the other is hurting.
I won’t limit my family only by the blood relation. Yes, they are my family but I found that there’s another ‘family’ out there, those who I called my Inner Circle. We’re not related based on DNA yet I do treasure them.
We’re kinda very different, but what make me stick with them are the value that we shared and the love that bonds us. I simply don’t wanna see them falling apart. I simply wanna be there and walk with them through the valley.
Fight, argue and even hate, did take part in the relationship, but the most important thing, we love each other and we would love to see a better person they’re becoming. We colored it with tears, hugs, jokes, laughs, encouragements and even shouts.
I won’t say that there will be no fighting around us. A healthy relationship always has waves, either small or big, in a calm ocean. How we respond it will determine the maturity and how strong the relationship.
Just like in ‘The Smurfs’, there will be clumsy smurf, grouchy smurf, brainy smurf and thousands more. Sometimes, there’s even someone who is being like a b****. Well, that’s family.
There’s no such thing as perfect family. Each of us is far away from perfection. Eventhough we make thousand of mistakes, we’re still loving and covering one and another.
Family will stick with each other no matter what happen in any circumstances. We simply won’t give up our own family.
